Since 1989, Jamdani has been creating memorable dining experiences inspired by the rich culinary heritage of Bengal. Nestled in the heart of Whickham, Newcastle upon Tyne, Jamdani celebrates the epicurean traditions of one of the world's oldest civilisations through a carefully curated journey across the country's diverse regions.

Particular emphasis is placed on tracing the origins and evolution of the kebab, alongside presenting some of the finest and most iconic curries from across the nation. The cuisine served at Jamdani is the culmination of more than a decade of dedicated research, exploration and collaboration within kitchens throughout India, resulting in an experience that is both authentic and deeply rooted in history.
Named after Bengal's renowned textile tradition, Jamdani reflects the same craftsmanship and heritage found in our cuisine. Just as each Jamdani fabric is carefully woven by hand, our dishes are thoughtfully prepared using authentic recipes and time-honoured Bengali traditions.
